    New women's community choir - 45 members - started 4 November 2009 and singing an eclectic range of 3 and 4-part songs. Aim to perform up to 6 times a year.
    Friendly and informal - no need to be able to read music and no choir experience necessary - CDs (or mp3s) provided for those who find it difficult to learn notes and/or words.

    We are a Leeds based a cappella singing group and have been singing together since the beginning of 2009. We rehearse on Thursday Evenings from 7:30 - 9:30pm at a venue in Chapeltown and mainly sing arrangements of pop, folk, gospel and traditional world songs.
    We do sometimes recruit new members and are currently looking for basses, tenors and beatboxers.
    This is a fairly small group (12 ? 15 people) and members need to be confident in singing harmonies and at times singing a lead part.

  • Keighley Road Jolly Wassailers
    A group of mixed voices, formed in 1999, singing wassails and carols to celebrate the turning of the year, Mayday and Harvest. Songs are mainly unaccompanied four-part harmony; some have music and dance. We put the joy of dance back into carol singing! Songs include wassails from all over England; Sheffield carols; mediaeval Latin carols; and boisterous drinking songs.
    New singers welcome - you don't need to be able to read music, but you do need a good ear to listen to yourself and other singers.
    Practices are at The King's Arms, Sutton-in-Craven BD20 7LP, Tuesdays 8 - 10pm, for a few weeks before performances. Please check before turning up.
