New sessions / singarounds
The Stanley Arms, Wakefield
A new acoustic music night kicks off at 8.30 pm on 6 January 2007 at The Stanley Arms, Lee Moor Road, Stanley, Wakefield WF3 4EP. The second night will be on 20 January, and it will then continue on the first and third Saturdays of every month. For info, phone Peter ( 01924 822089) or Barry (01484 719240) The Railway, Rodley A new singaround starts at The Railway, Calverley Bridge, Rodley, Leeds LS13 1NR on the evening of Thursday 11 January 2007. It will run fortnightly, and singers, musicians (and audience) are welcome. There is already a bluegrass session running on the alternate weeks. Info from Martin the landlord: telephone: 0113 2576603The Three Horseshoes, Doncaster The Horseshoes has hosted a number of folk clubs and sessions over the years, but these had all disappeared by the time the current tenants took over. Landlady Louise Emery was keen to put that right, and after a successful weekend of music (10-11 November 2006) a weekly session / singaround begins on Saturday 13 January.
