  • Noteworthy Women
    Women's community choir - 30+ members - sing an eclectic range of mostly 3 or 4 part arrangements - aim to perform at least 6 times a year.
    Friendly and informal - no need to be able to read music and no choir experience necessary.

    Friday evenings from 7 until 9 in the

    We are a very friendly organization of local people who just enjoy singing. We sing a wide range of music from Bach to The Beach Boys and beyond. Anyone is welcome to come along - you do not need any previous experience or the ability to read music.

  • Free Range
    Meeting at the Central Leeds Quaker Meeting House,
    Woodhouse Lane at the junction with St Mark's Street close to the Eldon pub. Tuesday evenings 7.30 to 9.30
    Free Range has been going strong since 2007, currently we have 20 women and 12 men and we perform at least once a term. We sing a fairly wide mixture of popular and choral songs. Our material is mainly secular and a capella, but nothing is ruled out.

  • Lawnswood Singers
    Female-voice choir with around two dozen members. Our aim is to enjoy each other's company in making music together,  offer audiences an evening's entertainment with a varied programme of music interspersed with humorous readings, and provide concert organisers with a means of fund-raising for any worthwhile causes.  We do not charge a fee, but simply ask for a contribution to our music fund.   New members are warmly welcomed to this friendly group.   We rehearse weekly on Wednesday evenings (
    7.30 pm) at Adel Methodist Church, Gainsborough Avenue, Leeds 16,  which is immediately behind the Lawnswood Arms on the Otley Road (A660).

    Leeds Male Voice Choir is a vibrant and dynamic choir of forty five men that performs throughout Leeds and Yorkshire. With an inclusive approach our members have different levels of singing experience and come from a variety of backgrounds. We aim to make choral singing as accessible as possible to all men. Led by our Musical Director Tim Knight, our performances offer something for all tastes with an eclectic mix of folk, opera, pop, sacred and classical pieces.

  • Keighley Road Jolly Wassailers
    A group of mixed voices, formed in 1999, singing wassails and carols to celebrate the turning of the year, Mayday and Harvest. Songs are mainly unaccompanied four-part harmony; some have music and dance. We put the joy of dance back into carol singing! Songs include wassails from all over
    England; Sheffield carols; mediaeval Latin carols; and boisterous drinking songs.
    New singers welcome - you don't need to be able to read music, but you do need a good ear to listen to yourself and other singers.

 Friendly and welcoming community choir. We have singing for well being at the heart of all we do.  We sing an eclectic mix of music from gospel, to folk to pop. Songs are taught by ear in the Natural Voice tradition, so need to read music.
