  • Knaresborough Country Dance Club
    Scout HQ Wetherby Road near junction with York Road, Knaresborough. 8 pm to 10 pm Thursdays in term time. English country Dancing with members calling and occasional guest callers. Music usually CDs, with live music two or three times per term

  • Highside Folk Dance Club
    Meeting at Littlethorpe Village Hall, just off the A61 Ripon bypass, HG4 3LG. The first, third and fifth Fridays of the month, but check the programme on the website before setting off. 8-10pm. A friendly social dance club for all ages and all experience levels (including none!). Live music from a variety of local bands and good quality recorded music, together with good callers, means there is plenty of variety and enjoyment for all.

  • Tees Valley Ceilidhs
    Tees Valley Ceilidhs were established to provide a regular series of ceilidhs, open to the general public, to encourage beginners and more experienced dancers to enjoy an evening's ceilidh dancing in convivial company. We welcome dancers of all ages.
    Our resident band is "Accordance" with Dave Turner as resident caller. However we like as much variety of music and dances as possible and have enjoyed excellent evenings with other bands and their callers.

  • York Ceilidh Club
    Enjoy lively dances from a wide repertoire of folk and barn dance traditions. Live music and all dances walked through and called. No experience, no partner, no problem - you are welcome!

    Last Sunday of the month at York Railway Institute (next to the train station). Doors open at 7.30pm. Public ceilidhs open to everybody, suitable for first-timers and hardened ceilidh-goers alike. With regular local bands Fiddlers Wreck, Doctor Peacock, and other guests.
